FOUNDERS ACCOURD
Co-founding the Founders Accourd with Nurulhudah Okwayo marks a new chapter in youth collaboration — one built on shared purpose, mutual respect, and the belief that influence must serve legacy. The Accord was born from countless conversations with young leaders who were building, organising, and leading across Africa — often in isolation. We wanted to change that.
The Founders Accourd is more than an initiative; it’s a fellowship of youth founders committed to building in alignment rather than competition. It exists to connect visionaries who are redefining leadership, fostering collaboration across movements, and creating continuity in how advocacy and innovation take root.
Together, we envision an ecosystem where young Africans can exchange insight, build enduring partnerships, and shape collective impact. The Founders Accourd stands as a philosophy — that leadership is not measured by scale alone, but by the integrity of collaboration and the legacies it leaves behind.

Background and Rationale
Across the continent, young founders and advocates are redefining what leadership looks like. They are building movements, organisations, and networks that challenge systems and inspire new ways of thinking. Yet, despite this progress, many youth founders operate in isolation, facing fragmentation, duplication of effort, and limited cross-sector collaboration. This accord is meant to bring an aggressive body for insight and knowledge in spirit of good trouble making.
The Founders Accourd emerged as a response to this gap: a space where youth founders can connect as peers, exchange insights, and align on shared principles for collective influence. The Accourd positions itself not as another platform or programme, but as a philosophy of fellowship, a living understanding that influence must serve purpose, and that advocacy must build legacy.
